"phenomeNON", by Victoria Franks Rios, offers a compelling exploration into sequential hermaphroditism and various other biological anomalies found in nature which are often overlooked or misunderstood. Through her in-depth queries about Parthenogenesis, gynandromorphism, hermaphroditism, cellular signaling, phallic morphology, and the ability of certain organisms to reproduce without fertilization, Rios’ investigates fluidity, adaptability, and the complexities of identity.
"Grieve, Feel, and Heal" is an autobiographical documentation of how I processed the profound loss of my brother. I literally poured my emotions onto each canvas, and by doing so, shared my tumultuous journey through grief.
These works encapsulate the visceral rawness and depth of my mourning as I navigated the void left from his loss, found a path to solace, and began the gradual process of healing.
